A Sweet Tradition for Hanukkah
To sweeten your celebrations, we’re sharing a delightful recipe for traditional Hanukkah donuts, also known as sufganiyot. These treats are a cherished tradition during the holiday. Enjoy making this tasty delight with family and friends.
Yummy

Sufganiyot Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1/2 cup milk, warmed
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp salt
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting
Jam or jelly for filling (such as raspberry or strawberry)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into circles using a cookie cutter.
Let the circles rise for another 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly. Fill with jam using a piping bag and dust with powdered sugar.
The Joy of Sharing
Enjoy your festive treats and have a wonderful Hanukkah! The act of making and sharing sufganiyot is a beautiful way to bond with family and friends. It's not just about the food; it’s about creating memories together.
